Make Safe Choices When Selecting a Fence |
|
Our experience at Midtown can help you make safe choices when selecting a fence.
Children: The distance between pickets must be less than 4” to prevent a child’s head from getting stuck.
The distance between rails should be greater than 24” to discourage children from climbing the fence.
Choose a fence with soft edges and install latches out of reach.
Make sure the height of the fence is at least 42” in order to keep your child safer.
Pets: Your fence should be at least 42” tall to make sure your dog cannot jump over.
The smaller your pet the closer the picket spacing should be.
